ITT W&WW has a well established program for DFE, Design for Environment. The products energy efficiency is particularly important, since the greatest environmental impact occurs as a result of its energy consumption.
We are also concerned about the chemicals and materials used in the products and in our processes and we have therefore established a Black&Grey list of restricted materials and substances, which we encourage all suppliers to take part of.
We would like to inspire our suppliers to work for pollution prevention and continuous improvement of design and materials as well.
