UN Global Compact

Asking the sustainability question in all business decisions: Is this decision in conflict with our social, ethical or environmental concerns?

We weigh our answers and actions against the principles of UN Global Compact, which ITT Water & Wastewater signed in April 2008 (first sign up for former ITT Flygt was in 2002)
The ten principles and how ITT Water & Wastewater adhere to them
1. Business should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed rights.

2…and make sure they are not complicit in human rights abuses.

3. Business should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.

4. The elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour.

5. The effective abolition of child labour.

6. The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

7. Environmental considerations on products and materials.

8. Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.

9. Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technoligies.

10. Business should work against all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery.
